15 Most Good-looking Men In Asian Drama-Land
I recently came across an article (on an extremely popular website) featuring the most ‘good-looking’ Asian men. On opening the post, I was gobsmacked to see that they put the picture of a Korean singer from a world-famous boy band under the name of another Korean singer belonging to the same band. We feel bad when foreign journos address Deepika Padukone as Priyanka Chopra and we call them ‘racists’ but look how ignorant we can be about our fellow Asians.
I was furious!!
So, I decided to make a list of my own featuring the cutest and hottest male celebs in Asia. By ‘Asia’ I mean only East Asia and not the entire Asian continent. This list contains names of eye candies hailing from South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan and there is no order to it. Also, this list contains only actors so do not be surprised finding Jimin and Kai’s name missing from the list. Yes, I know Kai acts as well but he is not known for his acting yet.
My dear girls! Fasten your seat belts as you will surely be tempted to jump off your seat in excitement on seeing some of the most gorgeous faces in drama land.

1. Taishi Nakagawa (Japanese)
Let me start this list with the youngest face here. Barely 20 years old, Taishi has featured in more than 30 Japanese doramas and around 10 films. His innocent face and forced pout make him the perfect choice for a teen romance drama lead.
His last dorama Boys Over Flowers Season 2 or Hana Nochi Hare saw him play the quintessential sweet and kind second-lead and believe me he stole the show.
Taishi may not be the best actor out there but the boy is improving. Despite his not so great acting skills I still find myself binge-watching his dramas and even movies only because I want to see more of this puppy-faced actor.
2. Seo Kang Joon (Korean)
The very first feature you notice on seeing Kang Joon’s face is his light-brown eyes. He recently wrapped up his sci-fi drama ‘Are You Human?’ in which he played a double role, one of a robot and one of a human. 
Kang Joon has a very mysterious persona. It is very difficult to figure out what’s on his mind because his poker face seldom gives away any hint about him. No wonder he played the part of a robot to perfection. Now I know why falling in love with a robot is so easy and natural.
3. Kento Yamazaki (Japanese)
Beware!! Japanese actor, Kento Yamazaki will make a place for himself in your heart with his mischievous smile and naughty gaze. Kento has acted in several doramas and movies in a very short time and has easily made his way into the hearts of unsuspecting teenage girls who endlessly gush over this talented actor.
4. Lee Jong Suk (Korean)
Milky white skin and thick pink lips make it difficult to ignore Jong Suk who on several occasions looks prettier than girls. Watch out for this baby-faced actor who is touted to be the ‘next big thing’ in the Korean entertainment biz.
5. Chen Bolin (Taiwanese)
Is it really possible to be cute and hot at the same time?
Well, for Chen it is. Don’t even get me started on his dimples because then I will not be able to stop and guys!! we still have a lot more hot men left to drool over.
6. Haruma Miura (Japanese)
It is my dream to go to Japan and meet Haruma once. Okay, I would like to meet Taishi, Mackenyu and Ryo too but meeting Haruma is mandatory. Look at him, just look at him!

Do you think it is possible to look away from him? I like him so much, it hurts!
(Update 19/07/2020: It pains me immensely to write this update that my favourite Japanese actor, Haruma Miura passed away a day before. I will miss seeing this wonderful actor’s work and his heart-melting smile. If I ever visit Japan, I know that visit will always be incomplete now.)
7. Kim Woo Bin (Korean)
Korean model and actor, Kim Woo Bin may currently be on a hiatus due to medical reasons but his popularity refuses to die down.
I admit he looks a little intimidating but he looks a lot better when he grows his hair out.
8. Aaron Yan (Taiwanese)
Aaron Yan is undoubtedly the hottest arrogant drama boss out there. His tiny face on that sculpted body makes him irresistibly desirable. I know he’s probably gay but c’mon he is quite an eye-candy, isn’t he?
9. Shota Matsuda (Japanese)
Now this one is my personal favourite. You have to watch Shota’s movies or dramas to know how gorgeous he looks on-screen. He has a very sinister gaze that can make your heart beat out of your chest. He can look quite notorious at times but there is an easy charm even to his evil look.
10. Lee Min Ho (Korean)
If you haven’t heard of Lee Min Ho, you basically have been living under a rock. Like, literally!!! This guy is or rather was everywhere after 2013. One look at this Korean heartthrob and Hallyu star and you will actually feel that ‘khuda ne isse badi fursat se banaya hoga’ (God must have made him at leisure).
This guy is just plain perfect!! He is tall, has a deep manly voice, perfect hooded eyes, a Greek nose and an envious grin. Min Ho is clearly perfect for entertainment biz. He is crafted to be on screen and lucky us to be able to see this wonderful specimen of God’s beautiful creation.
11. Takeru Satoh (Japanese)
It is very difficult to watch a Takeru movie and not fall for Takeru. Look at those cheekbones and the almond-shaped eyes. How can anyone be spared of Takeru’s charisma?
12. Mackenyu Arata (Japanese)
Big eyes and small mouth, isn’t Mackenyu the perfect poster boy for a romance drama? Well, this American-born Japanese actor is really popular in Japan. He nurtures the dream of making it big in Hollywood and has even acted in the sci-fi film ‘Pacific Rim Uprising’.
With a face and personality like his, I don’t think it will be difficult for him to make it big anywhere in the world.
13. Kim Young Kwang (Korean)
Now Young Kwang is not your conventional drop-dead gorgeous man but he is cute and attractive. Towering at 6 ft 2 in, he will charm his way to your heart with his honest smile.
14. Ryo Nishikido (Japanese)
I first saw Ryo in the drama ‘Last Friends’ in which he played the role of an obsessive and abusive lover who wouldn’t let his girlfriend live in peace. I was so awestruck by him that I watched another drama of his i.e. ‘Zenkai Girl’, in which he plays the role of a kind-hearted and gullible man willing to do anything to help others.
A powerhouse of talent, Ryo easily convinced me of both of his contrasting characters. With a chiselled, tanned face and flawless acting, Ryo can easily steal your heart without you even knowing of it.
15. Ji Chang Wook (Korean)
Any post on my blog discussing good qualities of Asian celebs is incomplete without my dearest Oppa, Ji Chang Wook. If I dream of visiting Japan to meet Haruma Miura, I pray to visit Korea just to meet Chang Wook. My Oppa is good at everything he does.
He has two left feet but he still looks good trying to dance. He rose to fame following the success of his action-cum-romance drama ‘Healer’. If you look around my blog you will see a lot of posts with his face as the featured image because my Oppa is so damn handsome!! Ah!! I love him so much! How can anybody not fall in love with Ji Chang Wook?!?!?!
Drama veterans like Kimura Takuya, Vic Zhou, Lee Dong Wook, or even Jin Akanishi still rule the hearts of many drama lovers but could not make it to this list because I have only considered actors born after 1985 (with the exception of Chen Bolin).
Ah! I guess I have covered the hottest of hot men in the drama world that compel you to sit glued to your computer screens. I wonder which one of these hot men will suit me the best.
