1. Welcome To Waikiki (2018)
The reason I warned you against eating while watching comedy Korean dramas is that I once choked on my food while watching “Welcome To Waikiki”. The show is that hilarious! This slapstick comedy revolves around the lives of three friends and how they try to run their loss-making hotel business.
The show was extremely successful and even has a season 2 with a new cast. But for me the original cast is irreplaceable and season 1 will only be the best. Each one of the characters made me laugh uncontrollably.

2. Don’t Dare To Dream (2016)
Lee Hwa Shin has no interest in Pyo Na Ri who is head over heels in love with him. But the moment his friend, Go Jeong Won starts to woo her, Hwa Shin feels jealous and does everything to win back Pyo Na Ri’s attention.
This show introduced me to Korean comedy. I used to have tears in my eyes laughing hard while watching this show. The show may look dated but it’s not too old and truly an underrated gem.

3. True Beauty (2020)
Im Joo Kyung suffers from low self-esteem because of her unusual appearance and gets bullied at school. She gets a new lease of life when she transfers to a new school equipped with makeup know-how that helps hide her imperfections. In the new town, she meets two boys who fall for her and compete to win her affection.
This romantic comedy is all you need after a long long day at work. It was my personal pick for times when I felt low and man it worked wonders to cheer me up. The love triangle is amusing and the characters are too adorable to miss.

4. Beautiful Gong Shim (2016)
Gong Shim is a young girl who is relatively less attractive than her elder sister because of which she has always faced discrimination at home. A young eccentric stranger rents a room on the rooftop of her building and takes a liking to Gong Shim. But Gong Shim does not like him and they bicker each time they meet.
An absolutely sweet show with some family drama and lots of funny moments. It has a wonderful cast that will make you laugh with their innocent madness.
5. Full House (2004)
Han Ji Eun loses her house to a cheap trick played by her friends. Left with no place to go, she refuses to leave her house even when its new celebrity owner, Lee Young Jae comes to live in it. Circumstances change rapidly and the two end up in a contract marriage. The only problem is that they cannot stand one another.
This romantic comedy can brighten up your day even on a stormy rainy night. Enjoy the lead couple squabble their way to love.

Do Bong Soon is a young petite woman with the power of a superhero. Ahn Min Hyuk falls for her at first sight and hires her as his bodyguard to get close to her. Sadly, Bong Soon has the hots for another guy which ignites Min Hyuk’s jealousy and competitive spirit for his lady love.
Here is another love triangle that will make your guts pain with laughter. Watch out for the bromance between Min Hyuk and second-lead, Gook Doo which is the highlight of the show.
7. The Fiery Priest (2019)
A former NIS agent, Kim Hae Il becomes a priest after an impactful incident that changes his perception of life. However, despite becoming a priest, Kim Hae Il continues to remain irritable and short-tempered. As he goes about investigating the death of another priest with his partners, you get to witness rib-tickling encounters with super-smooth action.
This action-comedy leaves you laughing even after it has ended. The show was well-received by viewers who loved every moment of this comedy-action-suspense drama.
8. Shopping King Louie (2016)
Louis is a rich shopaholic spoilt by his grandma. One day, he meets with an accident and loses his memory. Unable to figure out what to do next, he starts living on the streets when he is discovered by Bok Shil who is looking for her lost brother. The jacket worn by Louis is the only link to Bok Shil’s lost brother so she decides to stick with him until she finds her brother.
Louie and Bok Shil’s journey is full of hilarious incidents. They are both so innocent that they fall for lame tricks and get duped a couple of times. It is a sweet drama that I enjoyed watching.

Kim Hye Jin was pretty as a little girl but grew up to struggle with bad skin and frizzy hair. She works for her childhood friend, Ji Sung Jun who is unaware of their childhood connection and hates Hye Jin. Each time they work together they also clash like enemies leading to some absolutely hysterical moments.
The main comedy here is not only between the main leads but also with the second lead, Shin Hyuk who is the funniest on the show. This show is one of my most favorite romantic comedies of all time.
