5 Most Romantic Taiwanese Dramas To Watch On Netflix India

Taiwanese dramas or T-dramas are the less explored counterparts of Korean dramas. Thankfully, Netflix India has been picking up Taiwanese dramas so now you can watch some with good subtitles. Even from the limited options, here are some really interesting romantic Taiwanese dramas (in no particular order) that you should not miss.

1. Autumns Concerto

Let me start this list with my most favourite T-drama. Autumns Concerto is one of those rare dramas that I have watched more than once. It has all my favourite drama tropes such as hate-to-love, rich lonely boy-poor strong girl love, memory loss, old lovers reuniting, and forced cohabitation.

Ren Guang Xi is a rich spoilt brat looking for opportunities to trouble the Mu Cheng till he falls for her. But his mother is against their love and ensures that Mu Cheng is driven out of his life before his brain surgery. After the surgery, Guang Xi loses a major chunk of his memory and does not remember Mu Cheng which is why, years later, when fate brings them together under one roof he does not recognize her or his son. He has no option but to live in Mu Cheng’s house and as they encounter each other on a daily basis he starts to fall in love with her all over again.

Once you hop on the T-drama train, you will eventually get acquainted with Aaron Yan who is popular for playing ‘the boss’ in his romantic dramas. I have seen almost all of his T-dramas and I love him even in the same role.

Liang Liang is a young and vibrant girl who recently moved into a beautiful house paying three months’ rent in advance. She is happy and content till she finds out that the house has been sold to Qi Yi who demands she move out right away. Liang Liang loves the house and refuses to leave so Qi Yi allows her to share the house under certain conditions, which she agrees to. But life is not easy for her and she learns that Qi Yi is not just her housemate but also her boss at work. And that too a strict boss who bans workplace romance. They clash and clash until they eventually fall in love.

A classic T-drama it is the Taiwanese adaptation of the hit Japanese manga ‘Hana Yori Dango’ (basically the T-version of Boys Over Flowers).

Shan Cai comes from a humble background and studies at the prestigious Ying De University. At school, she happens to get noticed by the F4 group that is a gang of rich boys known to bully poor kids. She especially earns the ire of the group leader Dao Ming Si who harasses her relentlessly. But she does not buckle under pressure and refuses to bow down to him. Her strong character hits Dao Ming Si hard and he slowly starts to feel for her. But Shan Cai has already lost her heart to the reticent Hua Ze Lei who is also a part of the F4 group and has saved Shan Cai on more occasions than one.

Here is another Aaron Yan drama in which he once again plays a boss. Of all Aaron’s dramas that I have seen I think he shares the best chemistry with Joanne Tseng in this drama. They complement each other well.

Zhong Yu Tang is expecting to get promoted soon after working tirelessly for the same company. But just when her turn for promotion comes, her childhood friend Ji Wen Kai is appointed the new CEO. After assuming the new position, Wen Kai makes a lot of changes one of which is Yu Tang’s demotion to another department. Angry she wishes to quit but is unable to do so because of her student loans. She finds it difficult to adjust but manages to put a brave face. She hates Wen Kai for humiliating her unaware that he is actually helping her.

Driven mainly by the love-to-hate trope Murphy’s Law of Love is a sweet romantic drama with an unusual twist in the tale. Almost every drama couple separates in stories but this couple separates for a reason you would never imagine. Also, this drama has a lot of lovey-dovey moments so if you like such moments then go watch this show right now.

Guan Xiao Tong is a sort of a ‘Love Guru’ who offers relationship advice to those seeking it. She happens to cross paths with the divorce lawyer, Ji Jia Wei who is intrigued by her but hates the idea of love and romance. They often happen to meet each other and Xiao Tong’s caring and loving nature eventually melts his love-hating heart and they start dating till Xiao Tong suddenly decides to break it off with him.
