Bang Baaja Baaraat is a web series produced by Y-films which is the youth-focused subsidiary of Yash Raj Productions. It is a 5 episode series revolving around the wedding of Shahana and Pawan. Theirs is a destination wedding and both their families meet for the first time a few days before the wedding at the venue itself. It is a different show with an extremely modern approach. The couple meets through a dating app, hook up shortly after, and decide to get married without even formally meeting each other’s their families. The pre-wedding preparations and celebration are chaotic while certain revelations of family members add to the tense atmosphere. But will Shahana and Pawan eventually get married? Do I even need to tell?

Being produced under the prestigious Yash Raj Banner the shows’ production value is high and looks like a movie. The show also boasts a good cast that includes veteran actors like Rajit Kapoor and Shernaz Patel. The handsome Ali Fazal and the pretty Angira Dhar look great together and put up a good performance.

The target audience for this web series is the youth and it reflects issues that the youth deal with today. It shows how the independent youth of today does not hesitate to make big decisions by themselves. The series unabashedly hits the right notes in showing the rather complicated lives of high-class Indian youth.

I personally liked watching this series and if you want to watch a hatke romcom then do go for this one.
