Did You Know That The Entire Lead Cast Of “Business Proposal” Once Trained To Be K-Pop Idols?
K-Pop idol is one of the most sought-after professions in South Korea, especially for the young kids who aspire to make it big in the entertainment business. But the path to stardom is not easy as the competition is cut-throat and we get to know this from actors who have tried and failed at becoming K-pop idols.
On June 15, MBC released an episode of “Radio Star,” featuring an interview with “Business Proposal” actor, Kim Min Gyu. In the interview, the handsome actor stated that he had once trained to become a singer to be a part of an idol group.
When asked which group he had trained for he says that he is not sure he would have been placed in that group but the people he trained with are now part of SEVENTEEN.
He said he trained for only a month before giving up owing to his limited singing talent and lack of dancing skills. He always wanted to be an actor and hence decided to pursue the same instead.

But Kim Min Gyu is not the only person who tried to become an idol. His co-star, Ahn Hyo Seop revealed that he had trained with GOT7 to become an idol. However, his lack of singing talent and tall stature did not go well with the group and so he did not make it.

Seol In Ah too trained with Heo Young Ji to be a part of the K-pop group, KARA. But she later enrolled at the Seoul Institute of the Arts where she majored in acting leaving her idol dreams behind.
