Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Lip Care Review: A Pocket-Friendly Try-Worthy Balm

Chapped lips is a major problem for me throughout the year and my lips chap especially when there is a change in climate. It only gets worse in winter and I start looking for my lip balm the way you look for water in a desert. I have used several types of lip balms from all kinds of brands but only a few have worked for me. Since I am so much into herbal products, I looked up for some herbal lip balms and I discovered Himalaya Herbals range of lip balms. From all the variants available I picked up the Rich Cocoa Butter lip care stick because I miss chocolate (I am off chocolate for one year) and even if I cannot eat it I surely can sniff it 🙂 I have been using this lip balm for awhile and here is my experience with it.

Name: Himalaya Rich Cocoa Butter Lip Care

Price: Rs 125/- for 4.5g

Ingredients: The packet does not separately list the ingredients in the lip balm but it claims that it’s enriched with natural vitamin E and antioxidants. It also indicates that it is devoid of preservatives, petroleum jelly, mineral oil, and silicones.

Himalaya Herbals Rich Cocoa Butter Lip Balm Review

What does it claim?

The lip balm claims of moisturising, repairing and healing chapped, rough lips. It also provides long-lasting moisture.

How to use?

The lip balm comes in a twist up stick applicator plastic tube. The company has claimed to use only natural colours so the light brown colour of the balm does not transfer on application i.e. it isn’t a tinted balm. The lip balm has a strong cocoa butter smell which reminded me of an eatable and I almost gave in to the temptation of tasting the balm.

The formula is transparent and thick and stays for a good 2 to 3 hours on the lips. What I loved about this balm is that actually healed my badly chapped lips. My lips are always dry and sometimes they chap so bad that the upper-most layer of the skin flakes out. This balm healed my lips and moisturised it leaving it soft and smooth. I have used dozens of lip balms and this one certainly ranks a lot higher than the others.

Does it fulfill its claim?

Yes, yes it totally does. It does provide long-lasting moisture and heals cracked lips.

What’s good about it?

The swivel stick makes application easy

Smells good

Reasonably priced

Heals rough dry lips almost instantly

What’s not so good about it?

The only issue is that it doesn’t mention an ingredients list so you don’t know what it contains. Other than that there is nothing bad about the balm as it delivers its promise.

I give Himalaya Rich Cocoa Butter Lip Care 4.5 out of 5 rating. After using tons and tons of lip balms I finally find one that is easy on the pocket and effective. Do give this one a try.
