Lee Dong Wok Expresses Discomfort Over Fans’ Unreasonable Demands In Chatroom

Imagine going on date where your date is more interested in knowing about your friend than you. Feels annoying, right? Something similar happened with actor Lee Dong Wook and he has expressed his irritation over it.

Lee Dong Wook will soon be seen in the sequel of his successful fantasy drama, “Tale of the Nine Tailed”. To promote the show the actor decided to personally interact with fans through the Universe App.

Universe is a Korean web application that offers several features similar to other social media platforms. One of the feature allows fans to chat directly with their favorite artist.

Lee Dong Wook launched his account hoping to have a fruitful interaction with global fans. On August 20, the actor had a personal chat with a fan in which he clearly conveyed his displeasure over fans asking him deets about other actors and even going as far as demanding selfies of his co-stars.

He stated that he is not jealous and that he only wishes to talk and have a good time with his fans. He even requested his fans to not misunderstand him and that he wasn’t angry about it.

It’s sad that such veteran actors have to deal with fans who lack basic etiquettes. And what’s wrong with these fans? Celebrities are sensitive to fame and admiration. They work hard to receive our love and acknowledgement. But treating them with such disregard can be quite humiliating.

If a celeb has agreed to have a fan chat, it is because they need feedback on their work. They want to know what fans like and dislike about their work. They certainly have no intention of being a middle-man for another celeb.  

If one is not interested in a celeb then they should not chat with them. Why go in their chatroom and ask about someone else? Such behavior is highly disappointing and disrespectful.
