Mama Earth C3 Face Mask Review: Brightens The Skin While Curbing Acne Issues

Mama Earth is an upcoming brand that produces products that are free from harsh chemicals and toxins. Their products contain natural and organic ingredients that do not cause any ill effects on the skin. So, I purchased multiple products from this brand of which this C3 Face Mask is my absolute favourite. Initially, I did not see much of an effect on my skin, but when I started using it more frequently I saw a huge difference. Here is my experience using this mask for the past four months.

Name: Mama Earth C3 Face Mask

Price: ₹599/- for 100ml

Ingredients:

What does it claim?

The Mama Earth C3 Face Mask is infused with papaya, mulberry, and cucumber fruit extract that gently exfoliates the skin, unclogs pores, and fights blemishes. It contains coffee seed extract that brightens skin tone.

How to use?

First, wash your face with your regular cleanser. Pat dry. Gently apply the face mask all over your face except under eyes. Wait for 20 minutes for the mask to dry. Then wash off with regular or lukewarm water gently rubbing the skin in a circular motion for extra exfoliation.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The clay mask is dark grey in colour and comes in a white tub with a screw cap.

The mask is quite thick. Each time I apply the mask it tingles a little. Which is totally fine because I have sensitive skin and the natural ingredients present in the mask can also cause a slight tingling sensation.

The first few times I used this mask I saw hardly any difference. Also, after every use, my skin looked red for a few minutes. Once the redness would subside my skin would look visibly brighter. As recommended on the package, I started using it twice a week and it made a world of difference. I started using the mask twice a week at night and my skin started to look and feel so much better. I prefer using it at night because it causes slight redness of the skin. (Ugh! Sensitive skin issues.) The redness disappears quickly within a few minutes but I now prefer it using it at night only. After regular use for over three months, I noticed that the mask soothes acne and cleanses the skin effectively. It gives a glow to the skin and also moisturises it. I have used this mask in the winter and it did not dry my skin out like a lot of other clay masks. I have been using it over the last couple of relatively warmer weeks and it works well on my oily skin too. However, it does not fully address my acne issues. I have some active acne on my face which is due to hormonal issues. This mask helps soothe it but does not treat it like an acne medicine. So do not purchase it to eradicate your acne. It does not clear acne. But using this regularly can surely help keep acne under check.

Just one tip – If you too have sensitive skin then use the mask at night before applying your daily night cream. The next morning your skin will look and feel a lot better.
