Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer Review: A Colourless But Effective Lip Moisturizer

During the winters my need for a lip balm increases a manifold. For me, this winter feels more chilly than usual. My lips have been chapped to the point that my skin flakes out and bleeds. This is not just because of the weather but also because of the medicines I have been taking for a while. I am currently on acne medication which makes my skin excessively dry. So, I need a medicated lip balm to heal chapped lips. I do have a separate medicated lip balm recommended by my doctor but the lip balm is expensive and not easily available at every chemist. So, I bought the Neutrogena Lip Moisturiser as a backup option in case I ever run out of my medicated lip balm. I have been using this lip balm regularly for the past two weeks and here is my experience with it.

Neutrogena Lip Balm Review

What does it claim?

This lip balm soothes and conditions the lips to keep it healthy and soft.

How to use?

Twist-up the tube and apply over lips as and when required.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The lip balm comes in a white and blue twist-up tube which makes it convenient to use. It glides smoothly over the skin. It is colourless and odourless. I use this lip moisturiser twice a day and can safely say that it effectively moisturises my lips and keeps them soft. It does not heal chapped lips but surely prevents it from getting dry and flaky. I also use this lip moisturizer before wearing my matte lip colours and it protects my lips from getting dry because of my matte lipsticks. Its lasting power is around 3-4 hours. Additionally, it contains SPF 15 that protects the lips from harmful sun rays. I like this lip moisturizer because it does what I want it to do i.e. moisturise my lips and keep them from chapping.

What’s good about it?

Contains PABA-free SPF 15 (PABA stands for para-aminobenzoic acid which is generally used in sunscreens and other beauty products. PABA is known to cause skin allergies for sensitive skin so a PABA-free formula is considered a safer option.)

No colour or fragrance

Affordable

Comes in a twist-up tube

Effectively moisturises the lips

What’s not so good about it?

Not long-lasting

Contains a lot of chemicals

I give Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Lip Moisturizer 4 out of 5 rating. I like colourless, odourless lip balms that nourish and soften the lips. If you too like such lip balms then do pick this one.
