Irina feels guilty for leaving Rita bleeding on the street and takes a U-turn to go back to get her. Igor too feels guilt about leaving Rita stranded in the middle of the highway and calls her only to find her phone and bag beside him in his car. On reaching the accident spot, Ira sees Nadya with Rita and quickly tidies herself up. She walks up to Nadya, feigning shock she claims that Nadya hit someone with her car. Nadya tells her that she has only stopped to help. Ira further fakes surprise on seeing Rita. Nadya then screams at Ira to get a blanket to cover Rita so she doesn’t catch a cold. Ira runs to the car and sees the original CCTV CD and quickly pockets it.
Ira asks Nadya if she called Igor to which she tells her that did have the courage to do so since he has just lost his father. (Such a stupid woman. Why wouldn’t she call him? This mistake of hers is going to cost her.) Ira then asks her if she informed the police and Nadya tells her that her mind is completely blank right now. Ira suggests Nadya go with Rita to the hospital while she will file a complaint with the police and talk to Igor.
An ambulance arrives shortly and as the men transfer Rita to a stretcher, the anklet in Rita’s hand drops to the ground unnoticed by anyone. (Damn! The only piece of evidence is also gone. Not that it would help but had someone spot it in Rita’s hand it would have been a big thing.) As decided, Nadya accompanies Rita to the hospital and Ira stays behind. Ira checks the accident spot for any pieces of evidence but completely misses her anklet lying on the road.
In her car, Ira recalls the chains of events and is certain that Rita didn’t see her and even if she did she will not remember anything when she gains consciousness. When thinking of what to do next, she decides to blame Nadya for the accident. She convinces herself that she wasn’t even there when it all happened and that Nadya hit Rita with her car. (This wile woman. I am starting to hate her.) She then calls up the police station to report a car accident but we do not get to hear the full conversation.
At the police station, two investigators are playing a game of chess when one of the two beats the other with a simple move on the chessboard. He tells the losing player that chess strengthens one’s brain and being an investigator he has to learn to keep his brain sharp. He then asks him to pay the money he betted on the game. Taking the money he then goes to his cabin when he receives a call.
The call is from Ira who got his number from the police. She informs him of being a witness to an accident. She tells him that Nadya accidently hit a girl and is now in the hospital with the victim. The investigator inquires about Nadya’s personal details before getting up to leave.
Igor returns to the place he left Rita and looks for her but is unable to find her. Meanwhile, Polina has invited the Directors of Pan Cosmetics (the two men we saw with Igor in the previous episode) to discuss the supposed trauma that Igor is going through after his father’s death. She tells them that she has a backup plan who can look over the business till Igor is fine to handle the business and that she needs their support for it.
Oleg is looking at his mother’s book collection when Polina enters the room and tells him that the board of directors are unhappy with Igor’s work. She asks him that if she manages to convince them to accept someone other than Igor to lead the company would he be ready for it. He gleefully tells her that he is always ready for it. As Polina leaves the room, Igor smirks to himself thinking of the tough times in store for Igor.
Igor is worried about Rita and curses her for being such a difficult sister. He calls Zora and tells him to pick up Rita in case he sees her on the highway. Meanwhile, a disturbed Nadya asks the doctor if Rita will survive. The doctor does not reply but places an oxygen mask over Rita’s mouth. Nadya speaks to an unconscious Rita telling her to get through this and survive.
Irina’s car’s bumper was damaged when it hit Rita. To get rid of any evidence against her, she deliberately hits her car against a parapet to show that she got into an accident herself which is how her car got damaged.
Nicolai tells Lucia that he has finished writing his book and she hugs him for the great news. She tells him that it is a good day as he finally managed to complete his book while Nadya got over her problem which is why they should celebrate the day. Nicolai suggests they celebrate with some wine.
Tamara is worried as Ira is not answering her calls. Nicolai asks her what the matter was and she tells him that she hasn’t been able to contact Ira and he calms her down saying she might be too busy to talk and that she will be fine. Lucia tells Tamara that Nicolai has completed his book and that they want her idea for celebrating the occasion. Tamara sneers at the fact that Lucia is asking her advice after planning everything. Olya interjects that Lucia is only trying to make grandma happy and that grandma will be happy if she makes a fish salad, which is her favourite. Lucia gets going to make food and dessert for the family when Tamara stops her and tells her to call Nadya as Ira is likely to be with her.
Nayda reaches the hospital where she tells the doctor that Rita was conscious and was trying to say something when she found her lying on the road. She weeps frantically asking the doctor if Rita would survive considering the amount of blood she has lost.
Irina takes her car to a mechanic and tells him that she needs it repaired urgently. Seeing the damage he asks her the reason behind it. She tells him that she slammed her car into a tree as she is still learning to drive. She asks him if after repairs anybody can understand that it was damaged. He gives an affirmative response to which she says that she would like to sell the car and hands him some money to repair it as soon as he can.
Zora tells Igor that he couldn’t find Rita anywhere. Igor asks Zora to visit a junction and inquire for Rita. Igor is now worried for Rita.
In the emergency room, Nadya prays to God for Rita’s speedy recovery when she receives a call from an unknown person.
Wounded, Boris gains consciousness and checks his phone when he sees Rita’s voice message. He plays her message and is happy to know about Rita’s pregnancy. He struggles to stand up but still leaves the room to meet Rita.
Irina is in a taxi when she calls Igor to inform him about Rita’s accident. She specifically emphasises that Nadya hit Rita with her car and has taken Rita to the hospital. Igor stops his car on the side of the road and slumps to the ground. He screams at Irina on hearing the news of Rita’s accident. Shocked by his reaction Irina immediately hangs up on him.
Olya is singing a song at the dinner table to entertain the family but Tamara looks anything but pleased with her singing. She scolds Olya for keeping her pet turtle on the dinner table and criticises her singing. Nicolai tells her that she could try to praise Olya to which she retorts that first, he needs to praise his own daughter Irina. Olya brings Tamara some medicine and promises to never sing again. She goes to Nicolai and asks him if he liked her singing to which he says that she sang very well and she asks him for Rs.100/- as her prize, which he happily gives.
Ira reaches the hospital and asks Nadya about the doctor’s opinion and Nadya tells her that it’s difficult to say anything as of now. She asks Nadya if she informed the police and Nadya replies that an investigator is on his way. Irina tells Nadya that Igor is on his way to the hospital when a nurse emerges from the operation theater and Nadya asks her about Rita. The nurse tells her that Rita needs blood to which Nadya says she is O+ve and asks if her blood will help her. The nurse then takes Nadya to another room for her blood. Irina sits outside the operation room and prays for Rita’s death as Rita’s survival could cause a lot of trouble for her.
After taking Nadya’s blood the nurse advises her to rest as she makes her way back to the operation theater. As soon as Ira sees the Igor running towards her, she quickly holds the nurse and asks her if they need her blood and if she can do anything to save Rita. (Ha! What a wicked woman.) Ira cries uncontrollably in front of Igor who asks her the details of the accident. He asks her if it really was Nadya who caused the accident and she expresses shock saying that it was indeed Nadya who hit Rita with her car. She tells him that she saw Rita bleeding on the road while Nadya was beside her along with her car. Irina once again repeats that it was Nadya who hit Rita with her car.
Nadya offers to donate more blood but the nurse refuses as they have already taken a lot of blood from her.
When Nadya sees Igor outside the operation theater, she tells him that he needn’t worry and that Rita will be fine but he looks rather cold. He asks her if it was she who hit Rita with her car. Surprised, she tells him that when she saw Rita she was lying on the road as someone had hit her before running away from the spot. Nadya tells Igor that she was coming to meet him at his meeting site because she wanted to show Rita the original CCTV footage. She tells him that she didn’t hit Rita but he doesn’t look fully convinced.
The investigator walks in and asks for Nadya. Igor stops Nadya from speaking with the investigator and scolds Ira for falsely accusing Nadya of his sister’s accident. (That’s my boy. I am so glad you believe everything that Nadya said.) Igor apologises to the investigator and tells him that it was Nadya who brought his sister to the hospital and that she isn’t the one who hit her. The investigator then asks Nadya and Ira to go with him to the place of the accident.
Nadya tells the investigator that she saw Rita lying in a pool of blood when she first stopped her car. He then asks Ira what she saw and she tells him that she saw Nadya bent over Rita who was lying bleeding on the road. She indirectly implies that Nadya hit Rita which infuriates Nadya who reprimands Ira for speaking without thinking. Ira apologizes saying that all she saw was Rita bleeding and Nadya bent over. Irina says that she is only reporting what she saw and adds that she will not lie.
