SSCPL Aloe Vera Facial Kit Review: Definitely Worth A Try!

Herbal products are my thing. I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone skin and I do not have the luxury to try out many products because my experiments can result in a massive breakout all over my face. So, when I try a product I ensure that it is safe and the ingredients are as natural as possible. SSCPL is an Indian brand that manufactures paraben free, natural products. Since I have used several of their products before I did not think twice before purchasing their facial kit.

SSCPL has launched a new range of facial kits for all types of skin. Since my skin is sensitive and oily I picked the Aloe Vera facial kit that is effective in treating acne scars and lightening blemishes.

What does it claim?

As per the description on the back cover, the facial kit products are effective in reducing pigmentation and skin blemishes. It makes the skin soft, toned and supple. It tightens the skin and keeps it hydrated.  

 

How to use?

 

Step 1: Wash Face With Cleansing Milk

The first step in the facial is cleaning the face with a cleansing milk.

The Aloe Vera cleansing milk smells too good and feels very cool on the skin. I massaged it for around 3-4 minutes and washed it off. After washing it off I could see my skin become oil-free and squeaky-clean.

 

Step 2: Exfoliate With Scrub

Next, you exfoliate the skin with the scrub.

The Aloe Vera Scrub has rounded smooth granules. I gently massaged the scrub for 2 minutes before washing it off. My skin instantly felt tight. It did not dry my skin but made it extremely smooth.

 

Step 3: Massage With Cream

Now massage your face with the cream.

After scrubbing, I massaged my skin for 3 minutes with the Aloe Vera Cream and left it on for another 3 minutes. The cream smelt a little weird but it wasn’t unpleasant. My skin felt very soft and silky to touch. I could feel how supple my skin had become after applying the cream.

 

Step 4: Massage With Gel

Once again massage your face with the gel.

The greenish gel also smells weird. My skin tingled slightly as soon as I applied the gel. It could be because my skin is sensitive and it may not necessarily happen to everyone. As long as I had it on, my skin felt really cool. After washing it off my skin once again appeared dry and clean.

 

Step 5: Apply Face Pack

Lastly, apply the face pack.

The face pack is extremely thick and dry so you have to dilute it with rose water before applying it to your skin. There was no spatula provided in the pack so mixing rose water to the face pack became a little messy for me. The face pack caused a stinging sensation all over my face and I was worried that maybe it wasn’t suiting my skin. I waited for a few seconds to see if it subsided and thankfully it did. I kept it on for 20 minutes. The face pack is thick so I washed it off without waiting for it to dry completely. After washing my face it did not feel stretched like it often does after I apply a face mask. My skin initially felt dry but after a few minutes, it felt soft and smooth to touch. My skin remained oil-free for more than four hours and even after that the amount of oil my skin secreted was slightly less than usual.

 

Does it fulfil its claim?

Well, I cannot comment on the ‘blemish free skin’ since it will take multiple uses to see that happen. But it did make my skin smooth, soft and glowing like it mentioned.   

 

What’s good about it?

Paraben free

Skin feels less oily after one use which is the best thing for people with oily skin.

Makes the skin soft and smooth.

Price is reasonable and affordable.

One kit can be used several times.

 

What’s not so good about it?

Its packaging is bad. This is my complaint with most SSCPL products.

It isn’t available easily. You have to visit their exclusive outlets in Bandra and Khar to get it.

Too many steps make the process too long.

No provision for mixing face pack with rose water. They should at least provide a spatula for mixing.

 

I give SSCPL’s Aloe Vera Facial Kit 3.5 out of 5 rating. The brand should work on its packaging as that is the only department it lacks in. The product itself is good and I am definitely using it again.
