SSCPL Herbals Argan Oil Lotion Review: The Lightest Body Lotion EVER!

I hope God blesses you with good health, success and wisdom. 🙂 I want to start this New Year with the product I consider as one of my biggest find of 2016. I was invited to the SSCPL Herbals office where I got to pick a few of their product samples. I picked up their Argan Oil body lotion because I was yet to buy a body lotion for the winter so it was an obvious choice for me. And this body lotion proved to be my saviour this season. Here is my experience using this body lotion and the reason why I now swear by it.

What does it claim?

The Argan Oil Body Lotion contains argan oil and shea butter. Argan oil tones the skin improves its elasticity and rejuvenates it. Shea butter contains nutrients that help in reconstructing damaged cells. Suitable for all skin types. 

How to use?

Dispense the required amount of lotion onto palm and gently massage over dry, clean skin. Use circular motions to massage until completely absorbed by the skin. Use a light coat of lotion.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The Argan Oil Body Lotion comes in SSCPL’s patent white plastic bottle with a green flip cap.

I found the bottle a little too sturdy. When the temperature drops, the cream tends to settle at the bottom of the bottle and it makes it difficult to squeeze the cream out. I had to shake the bottle hard to have the product out of it. The packaging says to always use a light coat of the lotion and refrain from dispensing too much cream. So, I thought maybe the cream is thick and greasy which is why they are asking to use it rather sparingly. However, I was surprised to see that the lotion not thick at all. It is soft and has a light pleasant scent. I took a pea-sized amount of the cream and gently massaged it over the back of my palm and noticed that it is enough to cover one side of my arm. As I massaged the lotion onto my skin, I noticed that it was absorbed within seconds without leaving even a slight trace. With other moisturisers, I usually wait for at least 5 to 10 minutes for it to get completely absorbed but with this lotion, I did not have to wait at all. It got absorbed as quickly as I massaged it. My hands often feel greasy after applying body lotions so I usually wash my palms after every application. But, I did not feel the need to wash my palms after using this lotion as my skin did not feel greasy even a bit. I have never used a cream so light and quick absorbent before. This Argan Oil body lotion makes the skin soft and its effect lasts till you do not wash it off.

What’s not so good about it?

The bottle is too hard to easily squeeze out the product.

 

I give SSCPL Herbals Argan Oil Lotion 5 out of 5 rating. This non-greasy, lightweight body lotion gets absorbed in less than a minute and makes the skin soft and smooth in a jiffy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
