“The Uncanny Counter” Renewed For Season 2
OCN paranormal thriller series “The Uncanny Counter” has been renewed for Season 2.
On 26th June, OCN confirmed that “The Uncanny Counter” aka “Wonderful Rumors” will return with season 2 starring the original cast of Jo Byung Gyu, Yoo Jun Sang, Kim Se Jeong, and Yeom Hye Ran.
“The Uncanny Counter” was telecasted between November 2020 to January 2021 and registered its network, OCN’s highest drama rating of around 11%.
Based on Daum webtoon known as “Amazing Rumor” by Jang Yi, the show captures the life of the high school student and paranormal hunter, So Mun. He is part of a group named ‘Counters’ that fights evil spirits who prey on human souls to become immortal. ‘Counters’ also consists of other paranormal hunters, Ga Moo Tak, Do Haa Na, and Choo Mae Ok.
The lead cast has given a nod to the new season however, shooting will have to wait since Jo Byeong Gyu and Kim Se Jeong are already in the middle of shooting their respective shows.
