Biotique Bio Apricot Refreshing Body Wash Review: Softens & Refreshes Sensitive Skin

Summer time is a testing period for my skin. The humid climate wreaks havoc on my skin as I sweat profusely and my skin feels sticky all the time. This is why I usually buy body washes that smell good. However, I have used Biotique products before so I was aware that these ayurvedic products do not score high on smell. But, I bought the Biotique Bio Apricot Refreshing Body Wash because it said ‘soap free’ and I am a sucker for natural products with least amount of chemicals. Nowadays, 90% of the products I see contain SLES and paraben which are harmful to the skin. So, I have decided to avoid products that contain too many chemicals and look for brands that offer products containing less to almost no harmful chemicals. And, I am glad I ordered this body wash because I am happy with it 🙂  Why? What is so good about it? Read on, I’ll tell you in just a bit.

What does it claim?

The body wash cleanses, softens and brings out the natural brightness of the skin.

 

How to use?

Dampen your loofah and squeeze out the required amount of body wash on it. Gently rub the loofah over the skin, lather and wash off with lukewarm water.

Without loofah – Squeeze the required amount onto your palm and gently massage over your skin, lather and wash off with lukewarm water.

 

Does it fulfil its claim?

The product comes in a translucent cylindrical bottle with a screw cap. The body wash is orange in colour with a yellow undertone. It is of runny consistency so be cautious when you squeeze it out from the bottle.

I am not a big fan of this packaging as I prefer a flip cap for a body wash which makes it easy for me to open and close when bathing. A screw cap seems troublesome especially when my hands are drenched and I have to twist the cap on the bottle. The body wash does smell of apricot but it is not strong enough to overpower your senses. Also, the body wash lathers well despite being soap free. I have body acne which worsens in summer. This body wash was mild on my skin and did not exacerbate the acne. It made my skin squeaky clean unlike a lot of other body washes that feel slimy on your skin even after you have rinsed it off. However, I did not really feel that it ‘brightened’ my skin. It did make it soft, but not visibly radiant.

None. It is a good body wash that is mild yet effective on the skin.

 

I give Biotique Bio Apricot Refreshing Body Wash 4 out of 5 rating. If you wish to use a natural body wash devoid of harmful chemicals, then do try this one. It is a try-worthy pick.
