The Face Shop Real Nature Kelp Mask Review: Rehydrates Dull And Tired Skin

I already mentioned in my Longan sheet mask review that I purchased several sheet masks from Nykaa as they had an offer on them. So, here I am with another sheet mask review. What I like about sheet masks is that they do show some good results. But sadly, the results do not last long. The effects of the sheet mask are diluted as quickly as it takes effect. Nonetheless, it is your best bet when you need some quick fix. I am addicted to these sheet masks because they make my skin feel so soft and bright that I no longer can stand to see my skin looking dull or oily. I used the Kelp mask in the Real Nature collection and here is my experience with it.

What does it claim?

The Kelp sheet mask purifies the skin and adds natural moisture and nourishment to it.

 

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time and will leave you looking refreshed.

 

Does it fulfil its claim?

The Kelp sheet mask does not have a strong smell. Similar to the Longan mask, this mask too has slits at the sides of the eye holes so I could tear it wider to fit my eyes perfectly. I left the mask on for 25 minutes and then gently patted the serum into my skin. The packet had a lot of extra serum which I massaged onto my neck and shoulders. The serum did not get absorbed and looked greasy on my skin. But what I noticed about it was that even though it was greasy, my skin did not look dull. When my skin gets oily, it starts looking dull but with this serum, it looked bright and clearly moisturised. The mask is very hydrating and brightens the skin in an instant. I applied some of the serum to my chapped lips and it was healed in a jiffy. The mask did what I expected it to do i.e. a very basic job of brightening my skin as quickly as possible.
