The Face Shop The Solution Radiance Face Mask Review: Radiance For Certain
I am a self-confessed sheet mask addict. However, it has been a really long time since I reviewed a sheet mask. I was off sheet masks for a while because I was exploring several new brands and products. But then I started missing my sheet masks and could not stop myself from purchasing them in bulk. So, here I am, back with my Korean sheet masks 🙂 Ah! I missed them so much. The only thing I like about sheet masks is that they give instant results. Okay, not literally instant but the result is almost 90% certain. I had an outing planned last week and had absolutely no time to pamper myself. That is where this sheet mask came to my rescue. Last weekend, I had a family outing planned and knew that I would be out in the sun for a long time. I thought this could be a litmus test for my sheet mask. If I could look radiant even in the hot sun then that means the sheet mask is really effective. Since my skin was feeling too dry, I first used a skin moisturizing mask on Thursday night and then opted for the Radiance Face Mask on Friday night which prepared me for the Saturday outing. Review for the moisturizing mask will be up soon. For today, I will be sharing my experience with The Face Shop Radiance Face Mask.
Name: The Face Shop The Solution Radiance Face Mask
Price: â‚ą150/- for 1 Sheet Mask
Ingredients:
What does it claim?
The face mask is drenched in serum which is enriched with Vitamin C that provides radiance to lacklustre skin.
How to use?
Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.
Does it fulfil its claim?
The Face Shop Radiance Face Mask comes is a white plastic sachet which holds a thin cotton sheet soaked in serum. I first washed my face with a mild scrub before rubbing a toner all over my face with a cotton pad. The sheet mask is extremely thin and fits the face like a second skin. My only problem with this mask (and almost every other Korean sheet mask) is the eye hole which is too tiny for my eye shape. As usual, I had to tear the eye hole to keep the serum from leaking into my eyes. I then placed the mask on my face. The serum is slightly thick and has a faint flowery fragrance. I left the mask on for around 30 minutes before taking it off. I then dabbed the extra serum, left behind in the packet, all over my face and neck and went to sleep. The next morning, I woke up to a much-brightened face. It did not moisturise my skin but did make it visibly radiant. My blemishes too seemed non-existent. I spent a good amount of time out in the hot sun and clicked a lot of pictures and was happy to see how radiant my skin looked. When I returned home I did look a little tanned but my skin still looked plumped-up and illuminated. Sadly, this effect lasted for only a day and Sunday morning my skin looked less bright and my blemishes re-appeared with a vengeance. So, the mask worked well for me.
