Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Volcanic Cluster Review: 15 Minutes Of Radiance

If you are Korean drama fan you will know that every drama promotes the following three things,

  • Ramyun i.e. instant noodles
  • Soju i.e. Korean alcohol
  • Face masks

I have become health conscious so I have completely stopped eating noodles so no ramyun for me. I am a teetotaller so no soju for me. What remains is Korean face masks or skin products. In almost 85% K-dramas, you will see at least one character using a facemask. And Koreans have amazingly flawless skin. Watch their dramas and you will know how glowing their skin is and how every actor looks beautiful even without makeup. Which is the reason why I had to buy a Korean facemask to see if it works on Indian skin? I have bought not one but 6 facial masks and here is my experience with my first Korean clay face pack.

Name: Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Volcanic Cluster

Price: Rs. 150/- for 10 ml

Ingredients:

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Volcanic Cluster Review 3

What does it claim?

The clay pack contains Jeju volcanic clusters that help absorb excessive sebum. It clears pores and brightens skin.

How to use?

Wash your face clean and pat it dry. Take the required amount in your fingers and apply it directly to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes or till the pack dries and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Does it fulfill its claim?

When I received the face pack I was surprised to see a small tub that could easily fit in the palm of my hand. After opening the cover I felt very disappointed looking at the quantity as I thought that Rs 150/- was too much for a one-time use face pack.

Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Volcanic Cluster Review

When I started applying the mask I saw that a little amount of the face pack was enough to cover my whole face. Though the tub is tiny, the face pack can easily be used 3 to 5 times. Do not be deceived by its tiny size. After applying the face pack, my face felt cool instantly. The face pack smells like ink but it isn’t an unpleasant smell. I have some crater size acne scars on my face and when I applied the face pack I could see the pits on my face clearly as the face pack somehow did not cover them but glided over them. Since it is supposed to clear pores, I was expecting it to spread smoothly over my face but it did not manage to cover my scars. The face pack cooled within 10 minutes and I washed my face with lukewarm water. After wiping my face dry, I saw a shine on my face especially around my T-zone. But the shine lasted for barely an hour or so and my skin looked normal after that. Why would I use something that works for just 10 minutes?  I have used face packs, which give an instant glow that lasts longer.

What’s good about it?

Tub packaging is travel-friendly.

Dries quickly.

Clears the pores.

Makes the skin radiant instantly.

Skin feels cool and oil free.

Silky texture

What’s not so good about it?

Glow does not last long.

Not easily available.

I give Innisfree Capsule Recipe Pack Volcanic Cluster 2.5 out of 5 rating. The face pack fulfills its claim of clearing the pores and brightening the skin in an instant but the results don’t last long. If you want to use this face pack then do so only when you need instant glow for a short period of time.
