Kaya Soothing Cleansing Gel Review: Not On My Recommendation List
Whenever I buy a product, I hope it works for me so I can write a good review for it. Even when I see a product not suiting me I still give it several tries before coming to a final conclusion. I bought Kaya Soothing Cleansing Gel early this year and noticed that it was not suiting me. I then tried it over seasons to check if it worked when my skin felt different. But sadly it still did not work for me. The face wash is expensive so I was unwilling to throw it away. I kept trying it on different occasions but it just wasn’t meant for my skin type. Exasperated, I finally have come to my conclusion about this product. Here is my experience with this disappointing cleansing gel.
Name: Kaya Soothing Cleansing Gel
Price: ₹550/- for 200 ml
Ingredients:
What does it claim?
The cleanser deeply cleanses the skin and leaves it feeling soft and fresh.
How to use?
Squeeze out a tiny amount of gel onto your palm and work up a lather with water. Massage onto moist skin and rinse with regular water.
Does it fulfil its claim?
The gel cleanser comes in a white tube with a flip cap. The gel is of runny consistency. As you can see in the image below it leaks out the moment you open it.
I took a little amount of the gel and massaged it onto my damp face. The product lathers well.
It has a mild lemony fragrance even when it does not really contain lemon. My skin is sensitive, oily and acne-prone and for some reason, this cleanser did not suit me. It did effectively clean my skin but after a few uses, my skin started to feel extremely dry and dull. It felt like my skin was stripped of its natural oils as it looked parched and lacklustre. I have this product with me since February this year and I gave it several tries to see if it suited my skin with the changing climate but it did not. Also, it contains too many chemicals which is something I never approve of. I bought this product on a whim and am highly disappointed with its performance especially considering the fact that I purchased it at a high price. I think I must stick to brands that offer products with natural ingredients because these chemical ones seldom suit me.
Note: This cleanser did not work well for my oily sensitive skin but it may not necessarily disappoint every user. However, I personally would not recommend it.
What’s good about it?
Nothing. This is probably the first time I have nothing nice to say about a product.
What’s not so good about it?
Dries the skin
Does not suit sensitive skin
Expensive
Contains paraben
I give Kaya Soothing Cleansing Gel 1 out of 5 rating. I am giving it 1 mark only for its effective cleansing properties. Other than that it did not benefit my skin.
