Leaders Ex Solution AC-Calming Mild Cotton Mask Review: Fulfills Most of its Claims

Hi guys, I hope you had a great Diwali because I had the best Diwali this year because of which I was also MIA. But I have rolled up my sleeves now and am back to work 🙂 I wish to start this new week with a new sheet mask from a new brand. I got to know about this sheet mask from a fellow beauty blogger and Korean skincare enthusiast, Clara from the blog Beautifullyme. I always check her blog whenever I want to try a new Korean skincare product. Leaders Ex Solution is a Korean cosmetic company that offers a wide range of skincare products. I bought two of their sheet masks and today I am sharing my experience with the AC-Calming Mild Cotton mask with you.

What does it claim?

The mask claims to tackle skin problems such as rough skin, dead skin cell, skin irritation and excessive sebum.

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.

 

Does it fulfil its claim?

The AC-Calming Mild Cotton Mask comes in a red and white pouch and is meant for oily to combination skin type. The mask is a thick cotton sheet drenched in serum. What surprised me the most was that the mask fit my face like a second skin. I did not have to tear the eye hole or struggle with the nose flap as it was just perfect in dimensions. The serum had a mild flowery fragrance and was of reasonably thick consistency. I left the mask on for 30 minutes before taking it off and massaging the extra serum, left behind in the pouch, on my face, neck, and shoulders. I left the serum on for 6 hours after which I had to wash it off because it did not get absorbed completely by my skin. I do not have rough skin but do suffer from skin irritation and excessive sebum. After washing off the serum I noticed that my skin looked slightly brighter. It kept my skin’s oiliness at bay for hours. However, it did little for my skin irritation. My skin looked radiant for two days before its effect waned off. So, basically, it worked like a regular sheet mask as it provided a glow to my skin. But disappointed me slightly when it came to its ‘calming’ effects. I did not feel that it ‘calmed’ my irritated skin in any way.   

What’s good about it?

Controls excessive sebum

Makes the skin radiant

Treats rough skin

Extremely hydrating

 

What’s not so good about it?

Did not calm my irritated skin

 

I give Leaders Ex Solution AC-Calming Mild Cotton Mask 3 out of 5 rating. The mask is good for oily skin as it retains skin radiance and keeps excessive oiliness at bay.
