Lushveda Facial Treatment Pack – Skin Lightening & Brightening Rose Review: Fails To Keep Up With Its Claims
Every now and then I go on a spending spree. This spree is usually the outcome of a terrible mood swing. A few weeks ago I was feeling so low I ended up buying a bunch of books online. Similarly, a few months ago when I was feeling really low I ended up buying tonnes of beauty products. And one of my impulsive buys was this Lushveda Facial Treatment Pack. Lushveda is a herbal brand offering products mostly ‘made by hand using potent herbs from the Great Himalayas, rare roots, rich nuts & exotic flowers from the lush Indian & African jungles and luxurious salts and minerals from the deep seas’. Since I purchased this months ago I have tried it several times not just on me but also on different people and here is what I feel about it.
Name: Lushveda Facial Treatment Pack – Skin Lightening & Brightening Rose
Price: ₹385/- for 50g
Ingredients:
What does it claim?
‘The pack works wonders resulting in fair and glowing skin. Nourishing herbs and flowers help to reduce scars and dark spots revitalizing the skin. It brightens the complexion and also lightens post-acne scarring. Prevents blackheads and hyperpigmentation.’
How to use?
Mix with water or Pure Rosewater (for oily skin) or with milk /yoghurt (for dry skin) to form a paste and let it soak for 2 minutes. Apply evenly on skin. Leave on until the paste has dried. Rinse with cold water.
Does it fulfil its claim?
The mixture is a smooth golden-yellow powder.
Since I have oily skin, I mixed it with rose water. I took the powder in a bowl and poured some rose water in it. It takes a while for the powder to soak the rose water. Once the powder turned into a thick paste, I applied it to my face and left it on till it dried completely. After washing off the pack, I did not really see any drastic change in my skin. It says that it brightens the skin but I did not see any ‘radiance’ on my face. My skin also did not feel soft or smooth. It just felt very cleansed. Considering that it is a herbal product, I decided to try it a few more times before writing a review. But each time I used it, the result was the same i.e. my skin just looked thoroughly cleansed. I used it on other people with different skin type and tone but saw major no brightening effects on anyone. The pack says you have to use it twice a week to see better results. But since it is a ‘facial’ treatment I am not sure if using it twice a week would be advisable. I am very disappointed with this face pack.
What’s good about it?
Free from parabens
Fully herbal formula
Suits all skin types
What’s not so good about it?
Does not really keep up with its claims
I give Lushveda Facial Treatment Pack – Skin Lightening & Brightening Rose 2 out of 5 rating. I tried this face pack on several people including myself but it never really showed any major brightening effect.
