Nicolai is in his office when he tries to recollect what Mr. Panin was trying to tell him in his final moments. He then remembers Polina brooding over the fact that Mr. Panin was remembering his first wife during his final moments. His thoughts are interrupted by Lucia, who is there to share something important with him. But, before she can speak he shows her the ring he purchased for her. (Ah! What a smart man. He bought a ring for his mother and girlfriend. He surely knows how to keep women happy. Good job Kolai. You will go a long way.) He has bought the ring to celebrate their special day i.e. the date they met for the first time. Nicolia plays some music on his phone and asks Lucia to dance with him. Lucia dances with him but looks lost. He asks her the reason behind it. She tells him that Nadya is facing some problems at work and requests him to help, which he readily agrees to do.
Igor has a meeting with some senior employees as he discusses an upcoming event. The two men, however, look disinterested in what Igor has to say and blindly comply with his instructions. Igor speaks to Nadya who tells him that a colleague has agreed to obtain the CCTV footage for her and he needn’t worry as she will handle the situation. Zora comes in Igor’s cabin and shows him the pictures he clicked of Polina with an unknown man. Igor is shocked to see Polina with Oleg as Zora adds that they look like a couple in the picture.
Rita is in the office when she starts feeling uneasy. She drinks water but nothing helps. She finally tells her team to come up with another product to work on and leaves the office to see a doctor.
Rita visits the doctor who was treating her father and tells him her symptoms. He refers her to a gynaecologist. Rita receives her reports from the gynaecologist and is in tears thinking that her father would have been ecstatic to know of his grandchild. She then calls Boris to tell him that she is pregnant.
Boris, however, is being beaten black and blue by his ex-boss Kevin and his myrmidons. Kevin tells him that it isn’t easy to leave his business and Boris weakly replies that he won’t work for him again as he has promised his would-be wife to not do so. This further infuriates his boss who beats him till he passes out. We hear Rita’s voice message informing Boris of her pregnancy and sharing her doubts over being good parents, as Boris is being mercilessly beaten up by his former colleagues. (It was such a gory scene I had to cover my eyes till it was over.)
Maria hands over the original copy of the CCTV footage to Nadya who asks her if she has seen it. Maria says she hasn’t seen it as she wanted to give it to her as soon as possible so she can show it to Rita. (Ha! This happens only in dramas where people pass on CCTV footages without having a look at it. Had it been me, I would have first seen the CCTV footage only to kill the ‘whodunnit’ suspense.) She asks Maria about Rita’s whereabouts when she tells her that Rita has a client meeting in the evening and that she can meet her there. Since the place of meeting is far from where they are, Maria offers Nadya her car to get there on time. (Maria is such a sweetheart. Despite what happened she still believes in Nadya and even helps her selflessly.)
Igor goes to pick Rita from Dr. Somoy’s Clinic. Worried, he asks her what the matter was but she doesn’t tell him anything about her pregnancy. She evades his question and cheerfully tells that she will tell him later.
Tamara looks impressed by with Olya’s sketch but her tone changes as soon as Ira walks in. Olya shows Ira her sketch that she made for Ira but she is least interested in seeing it and she asks Olya to go to her room. Ira tells her grandmother that Igor is out of town for an event where he will be meeting a lot of investors and people who can help Igor in the business. Olya continues to pester Ira to see her sketch so she and Tamara go to her room.
In Ira’s room, grandma Tamara asks Ira about Nadya’s case. Ira tells her that even though Nadya hasn’t leaked any information, she will still be fired by the company. Tamara tells her that she doesn’t feel that Nadya was involved with anything and that someone has framed her. Ira says she felt the same but they have proof against Nadya. Grandma and Ira then decide to go for a swim.
Lucia brings Nicolai tea in his office and calls Nadya asking her to share her office issue with him so he can help her. Nadya, however, is trying to start Maria’s car and tells Lucia that her problem has been solved and that Nicolai need not intervene now. Ira is eavesdropping on Lucia and Nicolai’s conversation and hears them say that Nadya has got some evidence to prove her innocence. Tamara is annoyed that Ira isn’t ready to leave with her as yet. Ira tells her that she has some important business to take care of and that she will not be able to join her.
Ira calls Nadya who tells her that she has obtained the original CD of the CCTV footage. Nadya then tells Ira that she is on her way to meet Igor and that she will be showing the CD to Rita. Worried, Ira rushes to stop her from meeting Igor.
At home, Nicolai notices that Lucia isn’t wearing the ring he gave her. She tells him that he gave it to Nadya to pay off the debt of her aunt. He tells her that she should have told her about the debt before to which she replies that even she wasn’t aware of the debt and that Nadya doesn’t share her problems with her. She adds that she doesn’t like to burden him with her family problems. He tells her that her family is now his family and their problems are his and asks her to not hide anything from him again.
Polina brings Oleg home and asks Galina to prepare tea for them and takes Oleg to her room. Galina looks at her with disgust but follows the order given to her. In her room, she shows the suits that she has bought for him. She tells him to try a suit on and then asks Galina to give her opinion on it. Galina says that the suit looks good on him.
Oleg asks his mother the reason why she despises Igor so much to which she tells him that he doesn’t deserve to be the CEO of Pan cosmetics and that the seat is meant only for Oleg. She then tells him that Igor only has a degree in economics while Oleg has a diploma in chemistry that too from an American university. Also, Oleg is more matured and smart than Igor. Oleg promises Polina to fulfil her dream.
Rita tells Igor that she will have to marry Boris. Igor again tries to make her change her decision by telling her the kind of stuff Boris is into and that he only intends to mooch off her. She retorts that his girlfriend Nadya isn’t any better and that she tried to sell their company to pay off her loan. Just then, Rita receives a call from Nadya who tells her that she is coming to see her with the original CD of the CCTV footage. Rita reprimands Nadya on the phone and tells her that she will never be able to marry her brother Igor. Igor slams the breaks and snatches the phone from her. Angry, Rita walks out of his car leaving her bag behind. Igor drives on as Rita screams that he will repent this. (What? Did he just leave his sister on a deserted road all alone at night? Dude are you crazy?)
Rita’s team is discussing ways to come up with a new product when the topic gets deviated to Nadya and Svetlana blames her for the mess they are currently intp. Maria defends Nadya saying that she has proof that she is innocent. Just then, Maria receives a call from Nadya telling her that there is some issue with the brakes. Maria tells her that her car is old but the brakes are working just fine.
Maria’s colleagues mock her for siding Nadya so blindly despite getting into trouble because of her but she doesn’t pay heed to them as she is confident about Nadya’s innocence. Nadya is driving when a car speeds past her and she wonders what happened to the driver to be in such haste. And we see that the driver is Ira who is driving her car in full speed to get to Rita first.
Rita is asking for a lift but no car stops to help her. Ira is nervous about Nadya reaching before her and she tries to grab her phone to check on her but the phone slips and falls below her seat. She bends to get her phone not noticing Rita standing on the road asking for lift. Ira’s car accidently hits Rita and she falls at the side of the road. Ira gets out of her car to check on the person she hit and is shocked to see Rita lying on the road bleeding from her face. Rita unconsciously mumbles Boris’s name as she grabs Ira’s anklet asking for help. Ira is petrified at the sight and she drives away in her car leaving Rita bleeding on the road.
Nadya stops her car as she sees someone lying on the road. She is stunned to see someone lying in a pool of blood asking for help. Rita mumbles for help as she drops Ira’s anklet that she had grabbed. (Nooooo! There goes our evidence. Damn!)
