The Face Shop Real Nature Cucumber Mask Review: A Disappointing Mask

My skin is oily so I never really purchase moisturising products. But I am currently on medication for acne which makes my skin super dry. So I have stocked moisturising face masks to help me with the dry patches on my skin. I rely on moisturising sheet masks the most because not only do they moisturise the skin but also make the skin radiant. However, not all sheet masks work for my skin and the Cucumber sheet mask is one such example. I am a tad bit disappointed with this mask and below are my reasons for disliking this mask.

What does it claim?

The Cucumber mask is a hydrating mask that moisturises the skin and gives a natural glow to it.

 

How to use?

Wash your face with a mild cleanser and pat it dry. Using a cotton ball gently rub a toner over your face that will help refine your skin texture. Remove the mask from its packet and place it on your face. Remove the mask (down to up direction) after 10-15 minutes and gently massage the solution left on the skin and leave it on till it dries on your face. DO NOT wash it off as your skin needs to absorb the serum. The serum may feel sticky at first but don’t worry it will dry after some time.

Does it fulfil its claim?

The Cucumber Mask comes in a regular plastic pouch drenched in serum. I first washed my face, applied my regular toner and let it dry. As always, I tore the eye hole to fit my eye before placing the mask on my face. I left the mask on for around 30 minutes before taking it off. I then massaged the leftover serum all over my face and neck. The serum has a very pleasant smell almost like a regular cucumber. I left the serum on overnight and the next morning I noticed that my skin looked visibly plumped up and radiant. The dry patches on my face also looked less prominent. However, this effect lasted for barely two to three hours which is nothing compared to the other sheet masks I have used till now. The effect of sheet masks usually last for at least a day but with this mask, it was a matter of barely two hours and my skin got back to normal.

I give The Face Shop Real Nature Cucumber Mask 2 out of 5 rating. The mask moisturises the skin and gives it a healthy glow but its effect barely lasts for a couple of hours.
