VLCC Pedicure and Manicure Kit Review: A Value For Money Product

I had used VLCC’s Pedicure and Manicure Kit a few years ago when it was first launched. Back then, the packaging of the kit was different with the products packed in tiny sashay’s that were for one-time use. The kit also contained a free nail polish. 🙂 The kit I am reviewing today is the much-improved version of the same kit, in terms of packaging, as the products inside are still the same. I had liked VLCC’s pedicure kit so I purchased this one without a second thought. I am glad that the brand has worked upon its packaging and product quantity, which makes the kit a good buy.

VLCC Pedicure Manicure Kit Review

Name:  VLCC Pedicure and Manicure Kit

Price: Rs.480/-

Products: Pediglow Hand and Foot Cleanser – 50ml

                  Myrrh Cuticle Oil – 10ml

Pediglow Hand and Foot Scrub – 50g

Cocoa Butter Hand and Foot Cream – 50g

Orange Anti Tan Pack – 50g

What does it claim?

Every product in the kit has a specific effect on your hands and feet. Overall, the kit is supposed to give you beautiful and healthy tips and toes.

How To Use:

Step 1: Clean with Pediglow Hand and Foot Cleanser

Mix a few drops of the cleanser in a tub of warm water and soak your feet in it for 15 to 20 minutes.

I kept my feet soaked for 15 minutes and as expected my skin got wrinkly. The cleanser is supposed to make the skin soft and remove deep-seated pollutants from the pores. I scrubbed my feet while they were soaked in water as a recent bare-foot outing had my feet soiled so I needed something to clear the visible dirt stains. The VLCC cleanser did make my skin soft but it did not fully clear my feet off the dirt despite using a brush.

Step 2: Smoothen the cuticles with Myrrh Cuticle Oil

Soak a few drops of the cuticle oil in a cotton ball and gently massage it over cuticles for 10 minutes. The oil can also be applied directly.

VLCC Cuticle Oil

I massaged my cuticles with the oil for a minute and left it on for about 10 minutes. This oil is supposed to make the skin smooth, supple and wrinkle-free. For me, it did make my skin smooth but not wrinkle-free. It will probably take more than just one try for the oil to effectively reduce wrinkles.

Step 3: Exfoliate with Pediglow Hand and Foot Scrub

Gently rub the scrub over hands and feet for 5 minutes and then wash it off with warm water.

VLCC Pediglow Foot Scrub

The description indicates to scrub for 5 to 10 minutes and then remove it with a warm towel. However, I suggest you avoid rubbing a scrub over your skin for too long. 3 minutes is the maximum time you should scrub your skin not more than that. Once done I washed it off with water as a damp cloth will not help me get rid of the granules of the scrub. The scrub is supposed to exfoliate dead tissues, dull and dead skin. The scrub was very effective for me. It made my skin smooth and visibly clean.

Step 4: Massage with Cocoa Butter Hand and Foot Cream

Massage hands and feet with cream for about 10 minutes before wiping it off with a hot towel.

VLCC Pediglow Hand and Foot -Cream

The texture of the cream is silky soft. It feels like melted butter in your hands. It also smells good. I massaged the cream for a few minutes and then left it on for 10 minutes before washing it off. I absolutely loved the cream. My skin felt soft after applying it. The cream is supposed to nourish your hands and feet. My skin felt soft so I suppose it did really nourish my skin.

Step 5: De-tan with the Orange Anti Tan Pack

Apply the pack on hands and feet and leave it on for about 20 minutes before rinsing it off.

VLCC Anti Tan Pack

The pack smells like a basket of oranges. The mudpack glides smoothly onto the skin and does not dry the skin. It is supposed to lighten and brighten the skin. And, so it did. After washing off the pack my skin did look brighter if not lighter. My skin also felt soft and smooth.

Does it fulfill its claim?

Yes. Of the 5 products in the kit, 3 of them proved effective and worked well for me. Overall, the kit is a good product for its price.

What’s good about it?

Can easily provide more than 5 manicure or pedicure sessions.

Reasonably priced considering the number of times it can be used.

Good packaging.

Easy to store and travel with.

Effectively brightens the skin.

What’s not so good about it?

The whole process is time-consuming.

Contains paraben.

I give VLCC’s Pedicure and Manicure Kit 3.8 out of 5 rating. The kit is worth the price and is an effective product.
